COLUMBUS, Ohio -- There was no time to soak in the atmosphere early.
Urban Meyer was busy in the locker room when the band was warming up the fans. And once his first game leading Ohio State finally started, he had more pressing concerns trying to figure out what was slowing down his offense than figuring out how many people were in the stands.
But the Buckeyes ultimately got the spread attack rolling, the defense started forcing turnovers, and his vaunted special teams chipped in with a score by the end of the third quarter. So Meyer capped his return to his native state by allowing a brief moment during a 56-10 win over Miami (Ohio) to enjoy one tradition he's never forgotten about Ohio Stadium.
