Massive tackle considering Longhorns

In the "About Us" section of the official website for Weimar, Texas, the small community on Interstate 10 and U.S. 90 between San Antonio, Austin and Houston describes itself as a place "where ideas begin that set trends for other small cities."

While the idea of every small town having a 6-foot-7, 320-pound offensive tackle might sound appealing, don't expect it to start trending. Talents like Ja'Braylin Thomas just don't come around that often.

"I was at a 5A school and we didn't have anyone 6-7, 320 come around," Weimar coach Zach Hudson said. "I had the Dockery brothers [former Longhorns offensive linemen Derrick and Cedric] at Garland Lakeview Centennial and he is bigger than both of them. You just don't get 6-7, 320."

This town of roughly 2,000 got one, though, and he figures to be one of the state's top prospects in 2013. Programs like Texas, LSU and Baylor have long taken notice.
