USC rebounds nicely against Arizona

LOS ANGELES -- Try for a moment, if possible, to forget the fact that USC junior quarterback Matt Barkley passed for 468 yards against Arizona, breaking a single-game school record held by 2002 Heisman Trophy winner Carson Palmer.

Try to dismiss, for a moment, the All-America receiving performance by magnificent sophomore wide receiver Robert Woods, who drove Arizona crazy with his 255 yards in receptions, highlighted by a brilliant 82-yard, catch-and-run TD play in the first quarter.

What really was important about the Trojans' 48-41 scoring marathon of a victory Saturday afternoon was that Lane Kiffin's boys rebounded superbly from last week's Pac-12 South Division downer at Arizona State.
