Aerial circus results in USC victory

LOS ANGELES -- USC rode its passing attack to a 48-41 shootout victory over visiting Arizona on Saturday to remain undefeated at the Coliseum.

The Trojans started the game strong by scoring on their first four possessions. Coming into the game, it seemed that the plan would be to build on last week's second-half rushing success, riding the offensive line and senior running back Marc Tyler to move the ball slowly down the field in order to wear out the Arizona defense and keep the ball away from quarterback Nick Foles.

But after USC receiver Robert Woods' 82-yard touchdown on a short pass from Matt Barkley, USC coach Lane Kiffin discovered a new winning formula and never looked back.
