Lost in the celebration of quarterback Matt Barkley and wide receiver Robert Woods establishing career touchdown and receiving records in Saturday's 50-6 dismantling of the lowly Colorado Buffaloes was the under-the-radar achievement of USC (6-1, 4-1 Pac-12) becoming bowl-eligible.

There was no major announcement or video commemoration like the tributes given to Barkley and Woods, but during halftime a university representative did confirm privately that with the obvious soon-to-be victory over Buffaloes, the Trojans would be planning a bowl trip.

The Trojans official also put things into proper prospective by adding, "Let's hope we get more than six wins." Such are the expectations.
