Mustain to stay ... for now

December, 14, 2006
Freshman quarterback Mitch Mustain has decided to remain at Arkansas, his mother said Thursday morning. But unless changes are made to the Razorbacks' offense, don't be surprised if Mustain looks to transfer to another school after spring practice, according to a person close to the player.

"At this time, Mitch is still at the University of Arkansas," said Beck Campbell, the player's mother.

Mustain started eight straight games after the season-opening 50-14 loss to USC, and the Razorbacks won each of the games the freshman started. But sophomore Casey Dick replaced Mustain early in a 26-20 win at South Carolina on Nov. 4, and Mustain got little playing time after that.
