This is one of the most surprising classes the Iowa Hawkeyes have ever had. After a down class a year ago by most people's standards, Kirk Ferentz has really loaded up this year. Tight end Christian Ballard (Lawrence, Kan./Free State) is a great steal. Jordan Bernstine (Des Moines, Iowa/Lincoln) is one of the most underrated athletes in this class and can play multiple positions on the field. Getting Cedric Everson is a big pickup. Bryan Bulaga (Crystal Lake, Ill./ Marian Central Catholic) at 6-foot-6, 290 pounds is going to be an outstanding offensive tackle prospect. Broderick Binns (St. Paul, Minn./ Cretin-Derham Hall) may be the surprise player within the defensive front seven for Iowa. Hawkeyes fans have to be excited about this class.
