Taylor Cook gives Canes some options

May, 10, 2007
The Miami Hurricanes may have just landed one of the most underrated quarterbacks in the 2008 class in Taylor Cook (Eagle Lake, Texas/Rice). When writing Cook's evaluation last month, we stated that the national recruitment of this rifled-arm prospect should start heating up -- yesterday it looks like that happened.

At 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds, Cook is a supreme blend of great size and athleticism. Quarterback prospects who can beat defenses with either arm strength or feet are rare, and although a bit unpolished, this kid possesses the raw tools and upside to accomplish that at the Division I level. He also flashes versatility with his elite physical tools to help Coach Shannon at a number of positions while being groomed at quarterback.
