No optimism about Kendall
June, 27, 2007
I'm not sure if "scuffling" is a strong enough word for what Jason Kendall is doing this season.
As Joe Starkey writes in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, "Overall, Kendall was batting an Adam LaRoche-like .213, far off his career mark of .298. His on-base percentage, a point of pride during his time with the Pirates, was an unsightly .250."
"I'm definitely the most frustrated I've ever been," he said. "But I've been doing this for a long time. You either sink or swim. I'm scuffling, but I know I'm going to get out of it."
