18th commit breaks Georgia's dry spell

September, 10, 2007
Athlete Nick Williams' (Bainbridge, Ga.) verbal to Georgia on Sunday might have been the only positive note for the Bulldogs this weekend after their loss to unranked South Carolina on Saturday. Williams is Georgia's first commit in over two months, and though it's been a bit slow as of late on the recruiting front, he brings great athleticism to an already impressive 2008 recruiting class.

While currently taking most of the snaps under center in high school, Williams projects as a college defensive player. His physical measurables are impressive -- at 6-foot-3, he is lean but layered with good muscle tone and has the room to add another 15-20 pounds while retaining his current range.
