Documenting Clemente in 1960

Yesterday I got around to watching the new documentary about Roberto Clemente. While subject to the inherent limitations that come with telling a 37-year (and 18-season) story in 52 minutes, the program's definitely worth watching unless you're already a Clemente expert.

One passage in particularly piqued my interest. It's long been said that Clemente was cheated out of the 1960 Most Valuable Player Award by voters who didn't like him for one reason or another. In the documentary, George Will (who's featured in my new book, writing on another subject) retells the story of Clemente's lost MVP.
