Elias Says ...

A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:

Shaun Alexander's 88-yard touchdown run Sunday was the second such score of his career. Only three other players in NFL history had two TD runs of 88 yards or longer: Bo Jackson (92 and 91), Ahman Green (98 and 90), and O.J. Simpson (94 and 88).

Chris Simms' 50-yard touchdown pass was caught in the end zone by Joey Galloway. It was the longest such TD pass -- that is, without any run-after-catch yardage -- since Dec. 14, 2003, when Aaron Brooks of the Saints hit Joe Horn in the end zone for a 50-yard score against the Giants.
