A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:

• Entering Monday night's game the Steelers had won 21 of their last 24 regular-season games, and so had the Colts. It was only the second game in NFL history -- and the first in just over 75 years -- between teams that had each won at least 21 of their last 24 games The only other such game came on Nov. 23, 1930, when the Giants (21-3 over their last 24) beat the Packers (21-1-2 in their last 24) 13-6. In that game, at the Polo Grounds in New York, the Giants' Benny Friedman threw a touchdown pass, ran for another and kicked an extra point.
