A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:

NCAA Tournament
• Over the last seven NCAA Tournaments, No. 1 seeds have a record of 16-5 in the Sweet 16. Four of the five losses were by Duke: to LSU on Thursday night, Michigan State last year, Indiana in 2002, and Florida in 2000. The only other top seed to lose in the Sweet 16 during that time was Washington to Louisville last year.

• The Blue Devils have played 112 NCAA Tournament games. Thursday's 62-54 loss marked their second-lowest point total in tournament history. The lowest came in a 52-42 win over Penn in 1980. The loss also snapped Duke's streak of 88 consecutive NCAA Tournament games scoring at least 55 points, by far the longest in tournament history. The second longest is a current 69-game streak by Kansas, dating back to 1985.
