A daily glance inside the numbers from the world of sports:
• The Nets, who defeated the Pistons on Sunday 79-74, beat the Suns on Monday 110-72. The Nets are the first team in NBA history to win consecutive games by holding opponents who were at least 25 games above the .500 mark to fewer than 75 points in each game.
The Suns were 47-21 entering the game. Only seven previous teams in NBA history that were at least 25 games over .500 have lost a game by as many as 38 points, most recently the Spurs (58-23) in Seattle on April 18, 2001 (105-67).
It's the fewest points the Suns have scored in 212 games with Mike D'Antoni as head coach. Their previous low was 73 points in Toronto on Jan. 4, 2004, in D'Antoni's 13th game at the helm.
