Grey's Clipboard: Out of nowhere and into fantasy relevance

Ryan Ludwick isn't the only Cardinal to see a big jump in his fantasy value this season.

He clearly has been the story in St. Louis, but he didn't come completely out of left field. I wrote about him in the ESPN Fantasy staff's preseason sleepers column back on March 24, saying that if you needed a cheap outfielder in the endgame, he might be your guy, since he was expected to get a good amount of playing time and had hit 14 homers in 303 at-bats in 2007.

However, at least three of his teammates have gone from being draft-day afterthoughts to solid fantasy contributors. What has been behind their success this year?
