It's a big thing with regard to pitcher evaluation in fantasy baseball, especially at this late stage of the season, when in many leagues every inning or start remaining feels like it counts double. Some of you might be budgeting the few innings/starts you have left, and others without such caps could be in tight races in ERA and/or WHIP.
It's not surprising. Big-league managers would tell you their late-season -- and especially playoff -- pitching decisions often center on the "trustworthiness" of the pitchers under consideration. Who wants to take big chances at such a critical time of year?
