Big fan of Carlos Santana's OBP in middle of young Phillies lineup. Will aid everyone. Santana has power and moving to NL shouldn't change that, and case can be made he's a top-10 first baseman. Even the money makes sense. Good deal. It also means, presumably, Rhys Hoskins moves back to left field. Not ideal for the pitchers. Perhaps another outfield move is pending. But Hoskins at the plate is helped by Santana arrival.

If Zack Cozart adapts nicely to third base, that's going to be an amazing Angels defensive infield. Their pitchers, while not household names, just became a heck of a lot more interesting fantasy picks.

Zack Cozart gets three years to play third base for the Angels, but for fantasy purposes he'll retain shortstop eligibility for all of 2018. What's less certain are his durability and his offensive numbers. Cozart has never had a season like he just did, the power and the walks. Perhaps he can sustain it all and he'd be a coveted fantasy middle infielder, but it's tough to regard him as a safe bet to hit .297 with 24 homers. Timing indeed is everything!
