FFL: Week 6 Statbook

Bye Week: Arizona, Green Bay, Philadelphia and San Francisco.

Minnesota at Chicago: QB Daunte Culpepper has averaged 254.8 passing yards and 17.0 rushing yards and has thrown for four touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions in four games this season. He's facing a Bears team whose defense has allowed the lowest red-zone touchdown percentage (11.1, 1-for-9) and whose secondary ranks seventh (181.8 ypg) with more interceptions (8) than touchdowns allowed (6). Culpepper actually had his worst game of the 2004 season in terms of interceptions against the Bears (3, Week 13), so expect disappointing totals from him this week. ... Whomever gets the start at running back for the Bears should be a nice fantasy option facing the Vikings' bottom-ranked rush defense (178.0 ypg); Minnesota has allowed three 100-yard rushing efforts in its last five games. Thomas Jones has five 100-yard rushing efforts and six touchdowns in his last six games, making him a solid No. 2 option if he's healthy enough to play. Rookie Cedric Benson has averaged a disappointing 2.7 yards per carry, but based on the matchup, he'd still be well worth "flex" consideration.

N.Y. Giants at Dallas: It's a battle of red-hot quarterbacks; Eli Manning notched his first career win in his last game against the Cowboys (2004, Week 17), throwing for 144 yards and three touchdowns. He has thrown 110 consecutive pass attempts without an interception, and has averaged 271.0 passing yards with seven touchdowns in his last three games, establishing himself as a reliable fantasy option. ... QB Drew Bledsoe has made quite an impression on the Cowboys, averaging 270.2 passing yards with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions in five games. The Giants' secondary ranks second-to-last (322.0 ypg), so expect another big game from the veteran. ... RB Julius Jones had 195 scrimmage yards, a 5.1 average per rushing attempt and one touchdown in his only career game against the Giants. In 12 career starts, he has averaged 100.8 rushing yards and scored 10 total touchdowns.
