37-for-68, 349 yards and 2 TDs
He won't blow you away with his physical gifts, but Bollinger is a smart quarterback who can manage a game. His biggest negative is that the Jets seem to be lost as a team. It will only get worse when his opponents can prepare for him over the course of the week and exploit his weaknesses. He did an admirable job filling in for Vinny Testaverde this past weekend and Herman Edwards was clear in naming Bollinger the starter with confidence. Fantasy owners should not expect big games from Bollinger, though. He's likely to finish with less than 200 yards and only a TD or two per game. His next two opponents are especially tough at Carolina and at Denver. He might not have value until Week 12, when the Jets host the Saints.
46 carries for 187 yards and 0 TD
When Thomas Jones went down in Week 9 with a rib injury, Cedric Benson stepped in as the feature back. He ran with authority and was able to get into a rhythm and get a few carries consecutively. Benson is a strong back with great quickness and can hit the hole strong. Now there is news that the Bears might keep Jones out of this week's matchup against the 49ers. This might open the door for a big week from Benson against a porous defense. Even if Jones is able to play, expect Benson's carries to increase and if he's able to continue his more than 5-yards-per-carry average, he could still be worth a fantasy flex option. If Jones sits out, then Benson becomes a must-start for Week 10.
27 carries for 70 yards and 1 TD
Green Bay might be taking all applications at this point to fill their backfield due to the number of injuries. Gado is a rookie who did not start the year with the Packers. He was signed to their practice squad in October and moved to the active roster before Week 8. He's a short, but powerfully built back who has decent speed. He is quick in the hole and tough. He still needs to work on his vision and making smart decisions on where to run. He could be a useful back for Green Bay down around the goal line even if Tony Fisher returns to the lineup. He's not a must-add, but the Packers face a bad run defense this week in Atlanta and if he is the clear starter, then he is a worthy fantasy flex option.
