N.Y. Giants at Washington: RB Tiki Barber has rushed for 100-plus yards in each of his last five games, averaging 144.4 rushing yards and 176.0 scrimmage yards per game with three touchdowns during that span. He ran 24 times for 206 yards and a score in his last game against the Redskins (Week 8), so don't worry about Washington's No. 12 ranking against the run (106.5 ypg). Barber is one of the most productive fantasy players right now, even if his TD pace trails last year's slightly. ... RB Clinton Portis has three consecutive 100-yard rushing efforts, and for his career, he has averaged 125.1 rushing yards and 144.6 scrimmage yards with 23 TDs in 14 December games. Washington remains in the playoff hunt, and with Portis the most effective offensive weapon on the team right now, expect him to get a hefty workload against the Giants. He's a must-play, even against New York's 11th-ranked rush defense (105.4 ypg).
Dallas at Carolina: RB Julius Jones' value continues to suffer as a result of his sharing the workload with RB Marion Barber. Since Jones' return from an ankle injury in Week 10, he has averaged 16.0 carries and 59.5 yards per game (3.7 yards per carry), compared to Barber's 10.7, 41.2 and 3.9 rates during the same span. With both of them facing the Panthers' fourth-ranked rush defense (87.5 ypg) on the road, neither is a particularly attractive fantasy option. ... RB DeShaun Foster has averaged 81.5 rushing yards and 102.5 scrimmage yards with two touchdowns in his last four games, which aren't exceptional numbers but are still useful totals from a No. 2 or flex option. Dallas' 15th-ranked rush defense (111.0 ypg) might seem like a poor matchup on paper, but keep in mind the Cowboys have allowed three consecutive 100-yard rushing efforts and eight rushing TDs in six games since their bye week. Foster isn't a bad play this week.
Atlanta at Tampa Bay: QB Michael Vick passed for a season-high 306 yards and two touchdowns against the Buccaneers in Week 11, and with RB Warrick Dunn potentially limited by a hamstring injury, Vick could be the focal point of the Atlanta offense on Saturday. He'll likely throw the ball 25-plus times, and in the 20 career games in which he has done that, he has averaged 198.9 passing yards and totaled 22 passing TDs, decent numbers for Vick. ... RB Carnell Williams' most recent hot streak began with a 19-carry, 116-yard, one-TD game against Atlanta in Week 11, and in seven games since their bye week, the Falcons have allowed three 100-yard rushing efforts and eight rushing TDs. Williams did struggle against the Patriots in Week 15, but even with that included, he has averaged 86.2 rushing yards per game and 4.1 yards per carry in his last five contests. He should enjoy another big day on Saturday.
