The wide receiver position is causing more consternation than any other position this season, mostly because many of the biggest pass-catching names are not carrying their fantasy weight. Marvin Harrison, Torry Holt, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Chad Johnson and Randy Moss have played a total of 32 games among them, and in 21 of those contests, they have posted five or fewer fantasy points. Add in the injury to Anquan Boldin and the inconsistency of Terrell Owens (who has scored three or fewer points in three of his seven games) and it is easy to see why many GMs are considering putting lesser-name wideouts in their starting lineups when the matchups are favorable. The issue is compounded this week with Bernard Berrian, Donald Driver, Greg Jennings and Brandon Marshall on byes.
If any of the above issues are affecting your team and you are looking for potential waiver-wire solutions, I have a number of suggestions.
