Week 14: Fantasy Matchups

Every week, we preview all of the upcoming games from a fantasy perspective. To help you with lineup decisions, we give you matchups to exploit, some key starting choices and advice on whom to leave on your bench.

Atlanta at Tampa Bay: Michael Vick should be good for one score in this one, and expect him to run one in as well. Michael Jenkins might have some troubles getting open, so Vick will either find Alge Crumpler open or take off and gobble up big amounts of yards. Warrick Dunn should post decent numbers against his former team, but you can look for Jerious Norwood to start becoming more involved early in the game. Bruce Gradkowski could be on the verge of losing his starting job, so he'll look often to his most dependable guy, Joey Galloway. The veteran WR has not been consistent, but he could be good for a TD reception. Carnell Williams should run well enough inside to finish with adequate yardage totals.
Start and Smile: Michael Vick, Alge Crumpler, Joey Galloway
Watch and Worry: Michael Jenkins

Baltimore at Kansas City: Here is an opportunity for Jamal Lewis to get back on track, and you should expect him to find the end zone this week. Steve McNair will get time to throw, and should use play-action passing effectively. Expect him to find Todd Heap regularly in a game that features two of the league's best pass-catching tight ends. No defense can fully contain Larry Johnson, but even if he continues to run successfully, the Kansas City offense could suffer from inconsistency. Trent Green will be pressured often and won't find any of his receivers open regularly as the Baltimore secondary likely puts extra focus on Gonzalez. Eddie Kennison will struggle against physical coverages and Green won't be able to move the ball with regularity.
Start and Smile: Jamal Lewis, Todd Heap
Watch and Worry: Trent Green, Eddie Kennison
