  • The player who perhaps felt the most slighted by the Eagles' record deal with quarterback Donovan McNabb is free safety Brian Dawkins. Dawkins, whose current deal pays him $1.96 million and runs out after the 2003 season, has been exceptional thus far this season and wants to be paid accordingly — as the highest-paid free safety in the league.

  • Broncos head Mike Shanahan is concerned about budding cornerback Deltha O'Neal keeping his composure on the field and had a talk with him after O'Neal was ejected in the Week 4 loss to Baltimore as a result of bumping an official while arguing a pass-interference call.
