New York Rangers: 19 goals and 53 points are not the type of numbers expected from a No. 1 center. Throw in a contract that could run more than $9 million next year and it's easy to understand why New York Rangers GM Glen Sather is rumored to be shopping Eric Lindros to any takers.

Philadelphia Flyers: After a first-round loss to Philadelphia, only two players bothered to show up for the Maple Leafs' traditional end-of-season gathering. Toronto coach Pat Quinn and captain Mats sundin acknowledged a rift that divided the Maple Leafs dressing room this season but they asserted that players remained professional.

Colorado Avalanche: Despite a stunning seven-game, first-round loss to the Minnesota Wild, Colorado GM Pierre Lacroix said rookie head coach Tony Granato did a "great job" since taking over at midseason. Lacroix said he's still optimistic about the Avalanche's future even though there is some uncertainty about goalie Patrick Roy's and star center Peter Forsberg's futures.
