What's wrong with the Astros' top two starters? Separate articles in today's Houston Chronicle attempt to address the problems encountered by Wade Miller and Roy Oswalt so far in 2003.

Miller has started six games to this point and averaged under five innings per start. His ERA is a robust 6.07. "His delivery looks the same to me," manager Jimy Williams told Richard Justice. "But the results are not what he wants. His velocity is pretty good, so it comes down to location."

Miller disagrees with his manager and thinks there is some inconsistency in how he is releasing the ball. "It's just a matter of being consistent with my delivery. One time, I'm real good. The next time, I feel my arm drop down. I can feel it. I've watched a DVD of last season, and I can tell the difference. It's just a matter of doing it over and over and getting back to the point where it's second nature."
