Denver Broncos: RG Dan Neil sat out the mini-camp but is on schedule in his recovery from off-season microfracture surgery on his left knee, but he said of all his injuries, this is by far the toughest one to rehab. "A lot tougher," he told the Rocky Mountain News. "The other ones you can walk off the table. This one you've got to be on crutches for eight weeks." Last week, Neil began running a treadmill for the first time since the procedure and lifting weights with his legs. He said he hopes to be able to do some individual work by June mini-camp.

Cleveland Browns: LB Jamir Miller will announce his retirement from football as early as today, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Miller, reached yesterday at his home in Arizona, would not confirm his retirement, but told the Plain Dealer his rehab was going very slowly. His agent, Leigh Steinberg, Steinberg, said he is looking into broadcasting opportunities for Miller, "who has been blessed with a natural broadcast voice." He said Miller also might join Steinberg in the sports representation business.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The club re-signed LB and special teams player Jack Golden to a one-year contract Monday, according to the Tampa Tribune. Golden backed up weakside linebacker Derrick Brooks on defense and ranked seventh in special teams tackles with 13.
