Chicago White Sox: Doug Padilla of the Chicago Sun-Times writes that Sox manager Jerry Manuel is insisting Billy Koch is still his closer, in spite of a couple of recent moves that would indicate otherwise. Koch was pulled from one game with a save on the line and left out of another in a save situation making it appear that his generosity to hitters this year had cost him his position. Manuel insists this is not the case, however.

Seattle Mariners: What to do about Freddy Garcia? The Mariners ace is clearly not what he once was and Dave Bolling of the Tacoma News Tribune weighs the options open to the team regarding his disposition. Is trading him the solution?
