  • With the Yankees headed to Boston for the first time this season, it's time to contemplate baseball's greatest rivalry. Jack Curry of the New York Times examines the near obsession Boston fans have with hating the Yankees -- a hatred that transcends games against other teams. Is this, he wonders, their year?

  • For those of you who don't know the story of Herb Score, Dick Heller of the Washington Times is on hand to recount the painful tale. In 1957, a line drive smacked the pitcher in the eye and essentially ended his career. When you think about it, it's fairly amazing that this sort of thing doesn't happen more often.

  • The Rocky Mountain News has as its guest columnist today, Chipper Jones of the Atlanta Braves. His topic for discussion is the difference between playing leftfield and third base.
