  • In Wednesday's Houston Chronicle, Nolan Ryan compared Roger Clemens to Tom Seaver. In today's New York Daily News, Seaver posts a column about what it's like to win one's 300th game. It's a tale only seven living men can tell. Clemens hopes to make it eight on Monday at Yankee Stadium which was also the site of Seaver's 300th win.

  • Another one of those seven, Warren Spahn, finds it hard to believe that Clemens will call it quits anytime soon just because he's reached the 300-victory milestone. T.J. Quinn interviews the former great in today's New York Daily News.

  • The World Champion Anaheim Angels officially met their new owner for the first time yesterday and a good time was had by all. Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times reports good-natured joshing was the order of the day as Arte Moreno visited with his charges and the press.
