Are underclassmen ruining the NBA?

Since the day Kevin Garnett held a press conference in his high school gym and declared himself eligible for the NBA Draft, doomsayers have been claiming that Garnett, like an Old Testament prophet, ushered in the NBA apocalypse.

Like a plague of locusts, underclassmen were supposed to swarm the league, dilute the product and tank the fortunes of lottery teams everywhere looking for a quick fix to their losing ways.

Well, they were partly right.
