Anaheim Mighty Ducks: Signing Vaclav Prospal will help replace some of the scoring Anaheim lost when Paul Kariya signed with colorado. But will getting Tampa Bay's leading scorer prevent the Mighty Ducks from snagging Detroit superstar Sergei Fedorov? Chicago Blackhawks: Chicago has changed its offer to prospect Tuomo Ruutu to include bonuses that could earn the 2000 first-round draft pick as much as $3 million per season. But the framework of those bonuses continues to be a stumbling block in negotiations with Ruutu's agent, according to the Chicago Tribune. Atlanta Thrashers: The longer the Atlanta Thrashers go without re-signing left winger Slava Kozlov, the more interested they might be in signing Ray Whitney. Thrashers GM Don Waddell wouldn't comment on the Columbus forward, who is a restricted free agent, but Waddell indicated his patience with Kozlov is running out.
