The Giants enter the 2003 season with confidence after winning their last four games last year to make the playoffs.

It seems like it wouldn't be a Jim Fassel coached team unless they had some kind of controversy that they could rally around in December and make a push for the postseason. A defense that allowed 17 fourth-quarter points in the playoff loss to the 49ers will have several positions up for grabs, especially after the team dumped Jason Sehorn and took an $8 million cap hit this year. That gives a lot of young, developing players a chance to win some playing time.

Also, an offensive line that was filled with first-year starters will have to rebuild yet again as both players on the right side left for big free-agency bucks.
