Anaheim Angels: It's hard to resist a bargain. I'm sure you yourself have purchased something you didn't need just because the price was right. The Angels are in a position of having to watch $16 million of their money pitch for another team in the person of deposed pitcher Kevin Appier. The Royals worked him out at Kauffman Stadium on Sunday, reports Dick Kaegel of the Kansas City Star, and are a "strong favorite" to sign him at the major league minimum, according to his agent.
