If there is one story that's dominating the media in Cleveland, it' the burgeoning quarterback controversy. In fact, there is a national interest in who will get the call to lead one of the league's most storied franchises.

And why not? It's the classic case of David versus Goliath. Tim Couch was the first pick for the Browns in their first year back in the NFL. After three years under admittedly less than ideal circumstances, he's yet to become one of the better young quarterbacks in the game, whereas his counterpart Kelly Holcomb was never even drafted.

Things came to a head last year when Holcomb threw for 429 yards in a wildcard playoff loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Holcomb had performed exceedingly well in his two starts during the season and edgy fans wanted to see a change made.
