Indianapolis Colts: When the Indianapolis Police Athletic League nearly had a portion of its
youth football program sidelined after $1,000 worth of its football
equipment was stolen last week, the Colts heard the news and gave the league
a blank check to replace its lost belongings. "They stepped up in this
case and proved they are community leaders," Police Athletic League
executive director Scott Taylor told the Indianapolis Star. "This is not
something they had to do. This is not something anybody had to do." Maybe
it was a ply to generate good will in his attempt to get a new stadium
funded, but it was still a nice gesture no matter the motivation.
