New York Giants: The team's injury problems on the line continued, but this time it was on the defensive side of the ball. DT Cornelius Griffin sustained a high ankle sprain against the Vikings, and coach Jim Fassel told the New York Times he would miss one to two games. Griffin will be replaced by Lance Legree, who Fassel said had the best game of all the defensive players Sunday.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Coach Jack Del Rio said QB Mark Brunell would be allowed back at the Jaguars' Alltel Stadium facility on Thursday to begin a 2-to-4 week rehabilitation process from his recent elbow surgery. Brunell had surgery Oct. 13 but was told to stay away from the stadium for fear that he could expose himself to a possible staph infection. "How quickly he comes back will depend on how he responds to the rehab, the strengthening, the range of motion and those things," Del Rio told the Florida Times-Union.
