Tampa Bay Buccaneers: With backup QB Shaun King's status uncertain because of a sore ankle, the team is contemplating re-signing QB Rob Johnson, who was released last week by the Washington Redskins. Signing Johnson would only be an option if King's ankle worsens. The Bucs are also interested in signing T Kenyatta Jones. Jones was released by the Patriots last week after he was arrested and charged with assault with intent to maim for pouring scalding water on his roommate. According to the Tampa Tribune the Bucs would like to wait until the legal matter is resolved to sign him but since he's already met with the New York Giants and is scheduled to visit Miami, they may have to make a move sooner.

Miami Dolphins: QB Brian Griese could remain the starter for the next two or three games because Jay Fiedler's injured knee may keep him out longer than originally anticipated. Fiedler's agent, Brian Levy, said Fiedler could be out "for a while" and might not be ready for the game at Tennessee on Nov. 9 because of a sprained knee. But he cautioned people to not read too much into Griese's outstanding performance on Monday against the San Diego Chargers. "Let's not call him the greatest thing to happen to the quarterback position," Levy told the Miami Herald. "Let's see what happens over the next two or three games. I am not saying that Brian is not a good quarterback. If he goes out and plays great, plays like he did against San Diego in the next two or three games, there is no decision. He should be the quarterback. But let's see if that happens."
