Toronto Maple Leafs: It kind of had the feeling of one of those Bill and Hillary Clinton impromptu press conferences, but Maple Leafs center Mats Sundin felt obliged to announce that there is no conspiracy in the dressing room to get rid of Toronto head coach Pat Quinn. The Leafs coach also said he'd welcome the unnamed, unhappy sources in a recent Toronto Sun story that blasted Quinn to talk to him about their complaints face to face.

Edmonton Oilers: Surprise, surprise. Ales Hemsky shoots and he scores. The talented Oilers youngster had a shot on goal for the first time in eight games and scored the winning goal in Edmonton's 3-2 victory over Toronto on Thursday night.

Pittsburgh Penguins: Budget, schmudget. Penguins head coach Eddie Olczyk will play rookie goalie Marc-Andre Fleury on Friday night against the New Jersey Devils. This despite Pittsburgh's concerns the 18-year-old might trigger certain contract bonuses and Fleury's last performance when he gave up three goals on nine shots before getting yanked against the Wild.
