  • Is J.T. Snow a good fit for the Yankees? Given the state of their defense, Bruce Jenkins of the San Francisco Chronicle thinks so. The thought of Jason Giambi playing first on a full-time basis makes him think a leather-wiz like Snow is just what they need.

  • T.R. Sullivan would like to see a crowded dais at the Cooperstown inductions in August. If new ballot appearance maker Dennis Eckersley deserves to be in, then so do Goose Gossage and Bruce Sutter, he argues. In addition, there are more candidates he feels are worthy of admission and a few famous ones that aren't.

  • The Reds do not have a good record handling their managers over the last decade. Hal McCoy of the Dayton Daily News talks about their poor relations with skippers past and how they hope to redress the situation with Dave Miley.
