  • Lions team president and CEO Matt Millen said aspects of potential free-agent WR Keyshawn Johnson's game interest the team. The Lions have made a possession wide receiver a priority since drafting Charles Rogers.

  • A source close to the Browns says players have been grumbling about some of head coach Butch Davis' methods for some time now. The length of practices, as well as Davis' policy of not allowing players to the leave the team hotel the night before games, are two issues that particularly irk some Browns, according to the source.

  • Bucs observers are calling it premature to say that LB Derrick Brooks could be entering the downside of his career, but they say that the team needs to at least start thinking about a plan for a few years down the road.
