A goalie who needs a day off, a former superstar who is tired of so many days off and a courageous captain getting dissed by his hometown fans. Just a few tidbits from around the NHL:

Giving Turco a break
Hall of Famer Grant Fuhr's NHL single-season record of 79 games played by a goalie will soon be safe for another year.

Marty Turco
Marty Turco has played in 57 of 60 games this season and could use some rest.
All it will take is one more night off by Dallas goaltender Marty Turco, who has appeared in 57 of 60 games for the Stars this season. Turco might get a rest for the second consecutive game Friday night against Colorado, but not because of the broken bone in his left foot. The Dallas workhorse, who leads all NHL goalies with 3,383:45 minutes played this season, is nursing a sore groin that he will test in the morning skate.
