New York Rangers: It might not count as the third firing in two days, but Rangers president, GM and head coach Glen Sather will step down as coach, according to the New York Post. He'd be wise to call Joel Quenneville, who was fired Tuesday by St. Louis.

St. Louis Blues: As unfair as the firing of Quenneville might seem considering his past success with the Blues and the injuries they've dealt with this season, at least he shouldn't be out of work for very long.

Phoenix Coyotes: Now that Bobby Francis is out, the path is clear for a friend of Wayne Gretzky to take over as head coach of the Phoenix Coyotes. But it's hard to imagine getting much more out of the current lineup.
