Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Last year the Redskins raided the New York Jets. This year the Bucs may be doing the same to the Oakland Raiders. They already got GM Bruce Allen from the Raiders, now according to the Tampa Tribune the Bucs are believed to be preparing offers for Raiders free-agent OL Matt Stinchcomb and RB Charlie Garner. One league source claims the Bucs hope to sign Stinchcomb by the end of the week to be their starting left tackle. "There's a natural attraction there, obviously, because [Allen and Gruden] drafted him when they were in Oakland,'' said Stinchcomb's agent, Pat Dye Jr. "But there are going to be other bidders right there in their division.''

Indianapolis Colts: The contract extension for QB Peyton Manning has yet to be worked out, but that didn't stop the team from signing other players. DT Josh Williams signed a six-year contract that kept him from becoming an unrestricted free agent Wednesday. No financial details were disclosed.

New England Patriots: DE Bobby Hamilton, 32, said Monday he will test the free agent market after failing to come to terms with the club on a contract extension. "I know money isn't everything, but at some point you feel like you've got to get paid for what you've done for the team,'' Hamilton told the Boston Herald. Hamilton is one of 20 pending free agents on the Pats. Hamilton has started 68-of-70 games for the Pats since Belichick took over (including playoffs). In 2000, his 79 tackles were tops among NFL defensive linemen.
