Tampa Bay Lightning: With greatness comes more attention and the challenge of fighting through tight checking and cheap shots. Lightning forward and NHL leading scorer Martin St. Louis got a taste of that Thursday night against Florida as Panthers defenseman Lyle Odelein cross-checked the Tampa Bay forward and pinned him to the ice.

Philadelphia Flyers: Sean Burke's timely 2-0 shutout of Montreal on Thursday night was just what the Flyers needed to get back on track. With the playoffs coming and No. 1 netminder Robert Esche struggling, it looks like Philadelphia is right on schedule for another goalie controversy.

Toronto Maple Leafs: Joe Nieuwendyk probably cost himself a shot at the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy for a March 15 hit on Buffalo's Chris Drury that Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff called "gutless," but the Toronto center is a solid candidate for the Bill Masterton Trophy. Nieuwendyk, who has been a key part of Toronto's impressive season, came back from an abdominal injury suffered in last year's playoffs with New Jersey.
