Angels should make most of their lineup
This has got to be one of the better headlines of the young season:

Meet Vlad and the Impalers

Tim Salmon
The Angels must take advantage of Tim Salmon's discipline.
It comes from today's Los Angeles Times. I like it because it sounds like the name of an obscure '60s garage band that made its way doing Standells covers at high school dances. They would have had a gimmick like dressing up as vampires or ghouls so as to play off the source of their name: the 15th Century Walachian prince who was the inspiration for Brad Stoker's Dracula. The Times is, of course, referring to Vladimir Guerrero and his slugging pals in the Angels lineup. The addition of Guerrero to Garret Anderson and Troy Glaus has a lot of people predicting a return to glory for Anaheim.
