Cincinnati Bengals: According to a report in the Denver Post, the Bengals have agreed on a four-year, $9.3 million contract with DT Daryl Gardener that could be announced as early as this week. Gardener's agent, Neil Schwartz, said the deal won't be officially announced until the Broncos release his client June 2. The Bengals have yet to confirm a deal has been reached. "We don't have any comment on Daryl Gardener at this time," Bengals Jack Brennan told the Dayton Daily News. "If we have something to announce, we'll announce it at the appropriate time."

Cleveland Browns: With QB Tim Couch slated to be elsewhere next season and the team looking for an eventual successor to 34-year-old Jeff Garcia, the Browns have set their sights on Tulane's J.P. Losman. The Browns have studied Losman thoroughly and though no one knows for sure how much coach Butch Davis likes Losman, he did try to lure him to the University of Miami. Davis has promised the Browns will draft a quarterback. Owner Randy Lerner has declared the pick could come at the No. 7 overall spot.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DL Ellis Wyms, recently signed to a six-year, $20 million contract, was arrested early Sunday after kicking in the passenger-side door of a limousine he had been riding in, authorities said. Wyms, who turns 25 today, was charged with criminal mischief, a third-degree felony and later was released on $2,000 bail. According to the St. Petersburg Times, Wyms and a man deputies did not name had gotten into an argument with Richard Kline, their 28-year-old driver. Deputies said the unidentified man struck Kline and the 6-foot-3, 280-pound Wyms kicked in the passenger-side door of the 2000 Lincoln Town Car, causing approximately $1,100 in damage.
