Washington Redskins: The team may soon have a decision to make on reserve LB Antonio Pierce. According to the Washington Post the Minnesota Vikings have spoken to Pierce's agent, Mitchell Frankel, and appear to be on the verge of offering a contract to the restricted free agent. The deadline for singing restricted free agents to offer sheets is 11:59 p.m. tonight. The Redskins would have until next Friday to match the offer and retain Pierce. Because the fourth-year veteran is undrafted out of the University of Arizona, the Redskins wouldn't receive a draft pick if Pierce signed with Minnesota. Losing Pierce wouldn't cripple the depth in the Redskins linebacking corps. LB Mike Barrow made a visit to Redskins Park Thursday and took a physical and Washington is still waiting on LB Warrick Holdman's decision on an earlier offer.
