Baseball has no place in Las Vegas

Baseball may very well have used up every good locale not within the jurisdiction of an existing franchise.

Once again, Las Vegas is popping up in the news as a possible destination for relocating a major league franchise. This is either the case of one of two things:

  • Wishful thinking
  • Leverage talk

    If it's leverage talk, fine. We've seen owners throw city names around before in order to intimidate the good burghers of their current locale into gift wrapping them a stadium. I would say to those good burghers not to fall for it in the case of Las Vegas for the simple reason that the place simply doesn't fit a major league profile. Here's why:
