Raul Mondesi, who had his contract with the Pirates terminated, could be joining the Angels and soon.

Anaheim Angels: Gabe Lacques of the Los Angeles Daily News is reporting that Raul Mondesi could be joining the Angels and soon. His contract with Pittsburgh was terminated when he returned to the Dominican Republic to tend to his family. They were being threatened by former big leaguer Mario Guerrero. Mondesi would fill in for injured centerfielder Garret Anderson. When Anderson comes back, however, there won't be much room for him and Mondesi is not one to keep his mouth shut in such situations.

Kansas City Royals: The Royals will have a 20-game winner this year. You read right. Oh, it won't be any one pitcher, but their starting staff combined. After yesterday's 17-7 shellacking at the hands of the Tigers, Royals starters now have a combined 5-20 record. Actually, that projects to only 18 wins from the starting corps, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt. Here are the worst records by starting staffs over the past four years:
